Description

Por el Día Internacional de la Persona con Discapacidad, la Dirección General para Asuntos Multilaterales y Globales de la Cancillería realizó el 5 de diciembre el conversatorio “Discapacidad no es incapacidad”, con el objeto de sensibilizar y tomar conciencia acerca de la importancia de tener en cuenta la opinión de los niños, niñas y adolescentes en las políticas públicas a nivel nacional.

El mencionado conversatorio permitió a los niños y adolescentes manifestar, ante los agentes gubernamentales vinculados con las cuestiones de discapacidad, las principales barreras y/o dificultades que enfrentan en su vida cotidiana, así como visibilizar sus habilidades y potencialidades para su desarrollo.

La actividad contó con la participación de representantes de la Defensoría del Pueblo, la Dirección General de Niños, Niñas y Adolescentes del Ministerio de la Mujer y Poblaciones Vulnerables, el Consejo Nacional para la Integración de la Persona con Discapacidad, funcionarios de diversos sectores nacionales y gobiernos locales, así como representantes de las organizaciones de la sociedad civil.
