Description One might wonder why the U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey would be putting markers in Canada. But it's a trick question! In 1942, this wasn't Canada! Of course it wasn't the U.S. either, so the real question is what a U.S. survey marker was doing in the country of Newfoundland. I suspect it was part of a hitherto undiscovered invasion plot. Can't trust those Yanks, ya know.
