the Inflorescence of Dioficea, 49 of the Venus Fly Trap, while additional literature on the subject is to be found in Annales des Science Naturelle^ Science Gossip,'^ and Nature.^ From the above data we may conclude: (i) That the production of individuals by bud propagation on the leaves of Dioncea and Drosera occasionally occurs. (2) That the condition described above in Dioncea is a case of non-sexual reproduction supplanting the ordinary sexual process.
