Description
English: Construction works at the railway station of Tornio in Finland. A new passenger platform is being built, some new asphalt has been laid on the area, power gantries have been erected over the tracks, and so on. This is done as a part of the Laurila–Tornio–Haparanda railway line electrification project, aimed at restarting regular passenger traffic through the station, the traffic that was discontinued in the late 1980s, early 1990s.
Suomi: Työmaata Tornion rautatieasemalla. Uutta matkustajalaituria rakennetaan, alueella on laitettu uutta asfalttia, raiteiden ylle on pystytetty sähköportaaleja, ja niin edespäin. Kaikki liittyy Laurila-Tornio-Haaparanta-rataosuuden sähköistämiseen, jonka myötä säännöllinen matkustajaliikenne Tornion asemalle on tarkoitus aloittaa vuosien tauon jälkeen.
