Handwritten on negative jacket: 5395. Copied from faded photo Aug 8, 1946. See also 5942. Old Seattle. Old log cabin built in 1889, finished May 1, 1989. Was built at corner of Temperance (now Queen Anne Ave) and Republican Sts. now Queen Anne Ave and Republican Sts. #1. M.M. Lencon Contractor, 2. Harry Denny [illeg.], 3. WM L Lindsley Carpenter, 4. Theron Bosworth Carpenter. My father cut, peeled the logs and hauled these from top of Queen Anne Hill. Used 35 gallons of boiled linseed oil. Cabin in good shape 1946.
