Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Constantine's Cave? During his reign, King Constantine I of Scotland had several Viking incursions to contend with, and is reputed to have been killed near Fife Ness in 874 by Danish Viking invaders who dumped his body in a cave. It could well have been this one, but local tradition favours a larger one nearby 934119 and 1115687. But other historians claim that he was killed near where Newport-on-Tay now is, while yet others say he died peacefully, miles away from here.
