Description
Français : Console originale de l'orgue Silbermann (1740) à l'église Saint-Thomas de Strasbourg. Mozart en joua en 1778. C'est sur cet instrument qu'Albert Schweitzer instaura en 1909 la tradition des concerts commémoratifs du 28 juillet, jour anniversaire de la mort de J.S. Bach. La console ne put être réemployée au moment de la grande restauration de l'orgue achevée en 1979. Elle fut reconstituée en 1980 à partir des éléments conservés (bâti général - parties foncées -, claviers, pédalier, tirants, etc.). Elle se trouve aujourd'hui au pied de l'escalier menant à la tribune, à gauche en entrant dans l'église
