Description
English: Congregation Ramath Orah, located at 550 West 110th Street (Cathedral PArkway) between Broadway and Amssterdam Avenue in the Morningside Heights neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, was built as the West Side Unitarian Church in 1921, and was designed by Hoppin & Koen in the neo-Georgian style. The congregation was founded in 1942 by Rabbi Robert S. Serebrenik, the chief rabbi of Luxembourg before the Nazis invaded that county; the name of the congregation translates as "Light Mountain", which refers to Luxembourg.
