Congrès de Malte (1913) - Procession in Valletta

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Congrès de Malte (1913) - Procession in Valletta
The photo shows the final procession which brought this Congress to an end. The procession ended in Floriana where a nice stage had been erected, and Cardinal Ferrata (who attended on behalf of Pope Pius X) gave the Solemn Benediction. It is interesting to notice that on the facade of the co-cathedral there were two large paintings by Giuseppe Cali, which are now placed in one of the sacristies of the Mdina Cathedral.
