Summary

[edit]
Description

The old 1750 Westminster Bridge (since replaced) from a lithograph by Thomas Ashburton Picken (ca.1818–1891), titled, The Destruction of both Houses of Parliament, as seen from the Surry-side, on the Night of the 16th Octr 1834, printed by Day & Haghe.

This is a direct scan from an original lithograph print. The paper is darkened and spotted with age, and the paper has a line across it because it was once folded, long ago. The picture (excluding border) is 7.25 x 5.125in (18.5 x 13cm). The corners are trimmed as if it were once framed. It may once have been part of a book, but more likely sold as part of a set, in a folder.
