Description
English: Concrete anti tank block. By Lyng bridge > 899120. Altogether four concrete anti tank blocks, these were constructed in 1940/41 were part of the Eastern Command: II Corps Line A defence line which ran from Beccles in Suffolk to Norwich (where it joined demolition belt FIII). The line concentrated on main roads offering no definite obstacle (the River Wensum runs more or less between Norwich and Fakenham) and all towns forming way points on the line, and villages within a mile either side, were to be prepared for defence.
