Done at the palace at Brunai on the sixth day of the month Rajab in the Mohammedan Hegira twelve hundred and eighty two and on the twenty fourth day of November one thousand eight hundred and sixty five. Consulate of the United States of America Brunei Borneo, November 28. 1865 I, C. Lee Moses Consul of the United States for the Island of Borneo and its dependencies do hereby certify that the original patent appointing the Rajah of Ambong and Maloodoo has been exhibited to me,that it is a true and authentic document bearing the seals of the Sultan of Borneo and his three Principal Officers of State and that the foregoing is a correct and literal translation as examined and certified to by the (?) interpreter of this Consulate. In testimony whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed the seal of the Consulate the day and year above written. C. Lee Moses U.S. Consul
