Description

Conair Turbo Firecat? Conair converted a large number of former US Navy and Canadian Navy Trackers to aerial firefighting aircraft. The Sécurité Civile in France has several of them in service and this was one of them. This machine once flew in the US Navy as US-2A 136474.

I took the photo on 20 April 1996 at Schiphol. Two months later F-ZBFI was destroyed by an electrical fire during maintenance at Marseille-Marignane.
