Este abecedario es una fusión entre la escritura japonesa y china, utilizado únicamente por los miembros de la comunidad Jenkko. |

Al ser una comunidad aislada de las demás, se creía que se asentaban en lugares naturales, lejos de las diversas ciudades. La tradición se mantenía al transmitírsela desde corta edad a los descendientes de cada familia. Pocos de ellos quedaron luego de la etapa crítica de la segunda guerra mundial.
