Description
Català: Comptador de calories consumides per a escalfar (aigua corrent + calefacció) amb biomassa.

Planta de generació de calor a partir de biomassa a Molins de Rei. La planta està totalment automatitzada, només hi treballen dues persones a temps parcial. Abasteix de calefacció i escalfament de l'aigua corrent a unes 700 famílies al barri de La Granja a Molins de Rei. Va costar uns 3.000 euros per família i el cost del servei per a cadascuna oscil·la entre uns 200 euros mensuals aproximadament a l'hivern i uns 50 a l'estiu. El preu l'imposa l'ajuntament de Molins. La planta compra el combustible a uns 30-35 euros la tona. Solen ser residus industrials que per llei tenen l'obligació de ser reciclats o reutilitzats. Les cendres obtingudes s'aboquen a un abocador. El CO2 i altres gasos, a més de calor, són abocats a l'atmosfera.

Cada veí disposa d'un comptador com aquest a casa seva.
