THE PEONY The Peony of today challenges the rose to the title "Queen of Flowers," and it is without doubt the most popular of all hardy plants. The plants here offered are from one of the largest Peony gardens in the country, grown by experts and selected with utmost care as to quality and genu- ineness of stock from their list of over 200 va- rieties. Peonies do best in a rich garden soil with a sunny exposure. In planting have the buds two or three inches below the surface, and do not let manure come in contact with the roots. All sent postpaid. STANDARD PEONIES Price, 30c each; 3 for 75c; any 12 for $2.50. AGIDA. Brilliant deep red. Ready for Dec- oration Day. ANDRE LAURES. Fragrant, magenta red, the last flower to bloom. Seldom misses. BARON ROTHSCHILD. Rose-colored guard petals, with salmon center. Midseason. CHAS. VERDIER. Large, carmine lilac, splen- did cut-flower keeper. Late. GRANDIFLORA ALBA. One of ,the best whites, almost as fine as Festiva Maxima, for which it is often sold. Early. GRANDIFLORA ROSEA. Fine fragrant rose pink; one of the surest bloomers. Midseason. HUMEI ROSEA. An immense late, cinnamon- scented flower of varnished pink. A favorite. L'ESPERANCE. A very large sweet pink, fragrant and a great favorite. LOUIS VAN HOUTTI. Shapely bloom, vio- laceous red, yellow stamens. OFFICINALIS RUBRA. Earliest blooming red, always in flower before Decoration Day. QUEEN VICTORIA. Flesh, fading to white. A standard florist's flower. Medium early. REEVESH. Choice silvery pink. Medium. Spring or Fall Delivery Orders for Peonies, Iris, Phlox may be delivered in early spring or fall. Fall is the best season for them. — Watson, Minn.
