Two weeks ago Judge Douglas spokehere on the several subjects of Kansas, theDred Scott decision, and Utah. I listened tothe speech at the time, and have the report of itsince. It was intended to controvert opinionswhich I think just, and to assail (politically,not personally) those men who, in common withme, entertain those opinions. For this reasonI wished then, and still wish, to make some an-swer to it, which I now take the opportunity ofdoing. I begin with Utah.
