Description
English: A Post Medieval - Modern wood and copper alloy ramrod for a muzzle-loading weapon (1760 - 1880). The shaft is made from wood and tapers from 12.08mm to 8.50mm. At the wider end is a flaring copper alloy terminal, this may be the ball-seating cup. At the narrow end is a slightly tapering copper alloy terminal with four ridge and grooves near the end. There is a rivet hole for attachment near the open end. The rivet is non longer present.
