Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Common lime Tree (Tilia vulgaris) These lime trees can grow up to 46 metres. This specimen in Springhead Park must be close to that height.

Did you Know:- The stickiness found on lime trees is a kind of ‘aphid poo’! Aphids suck up the tree’s sap to get protein. The parts of the sap they don’t use, which contain sugars, are flicked from their bottoms. This liquid is given the appetising name of honeydew!
