Summary
[edit]DescriptionCommon Eastern Bumble Bee (Bombus impatiens) queen (12244411806).jpg |
The Common Eastern Bumble Bee is a terrific pollinater. So good, it has been established in the western US to pollinate fruit crops there. A native to Virginia, this specimen was collected on the George Washington Memorial Parkway at Turkey Run. Focus stacked image with Canon T3i. This is made up of 25 stacked images (still not enough) which I combined in Photoshop CS5. For lighting I used an overhead lamp as well as a StingerXT flashlight. I used a Sigma 50mm 1:2.8 DG Macro lens at 1:1 |
