Summary
[edit]DescriptionComing to take us home.jpg |
English: At the end of the mission we flew out, again with a Cessna 208B Grand Caravan of ECHO Flight (European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (operated by DAC Aviation, Kenya). Unlike our arrival this time is was from a grass strip on the edge of Kilembwe, with nothing around except a crashed airplane half way down the strip. Apparently it had been used for running guns to the Mai-Mai during the war.
We made a short stop in Bukavu to drop off some passengers and then as it was a clear day the pilots took us in low over lake Kivu into Goma |
