Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Comfrey (Symphytum officinale) The edge of Limekiln Plantation can be seen in the background (left). The name Comfrey is derived from the Latin "con fera" which means "with strength" or "made firm". K’Eogh in his Irish Herbal (1735) wrote that it heals all inward wounds and ruptures. Comfrey extract is used for treating acne, boils, bronchitis, cough, fractures, inflamed skin rashes, internal bleeding and ulcers.
