| Description | Official designation:- Tank Cruiser A34, Comet I British identity:- Unknown Built 1944 by Leyland Motors Ltd. The Comet was a development of the Cromwell was widely felt to be the best British tank of WW2. 1,186 were built and served with the British Army from December 1944 until 1958. This Comet I is a Type B. Its true identity is unknown. On display at The Tank Museum, Bovington, Dorset, UK. 26th July 2016 |
