| Description |
English: Combustion chamber for a gas turbine. Swirl injector leading to a conical liquid fuel spray. Venturi nozzle for fast cross-flow through spray. Turbulence between fast flowing injected air fuel mix and stationary gas in the chamber. With thin film cooling for the walls and the guide vanes. The exhaust is cooled by acceleration by a nozzle in outside the paper-plane and by mixing with the cool air in the wake of the guide vanes. The temperature is now low enough for the turbine and low enough to not generate NOx in the now lean exhaust, but instead burn any soot in a second chamber (afterburner). |
