Description
English: Silver object, probably a combined earscoop and nail cleaner, probably 17th century. Both ends are bent, with one end (the nail cleaner?) re-curving over the sub-circular sectioned shaft. The nail cleaner end is flattened and expanded, asymmetrically curved and pointed, and bears unclear moulded ?floral decoration. The earscoop end is flattened and expanded with a rounded end, but not dished. It is decorated with a letter or monogram (P?) on one side, and moulded ?floral decoration on the other (similar to that on the nail cleaner). Length (bent) 22.38mm, width (earscoop) 5.06mm, width (nail cleaner) 5.06mm, width (shaft, minimum) 1.48mm, thickness (earscoop) 0.96mm, thickness (nail cleaner) 1.16mm, weight 1.74g.
