Description
English: Gunnery Sgt. Robert E. Walston, right, Sgt. Matthew R. Cregger, center, Sgt. Michael L. Mejia and Cpl. Thad W. Bennett, turret, pose in front of the brand new Combat Vehicle Operators Training - Afghan Course sign at Camp Bastion, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, April 18. The CVOT-A course is the first course built in Afghanistan and is designed to provide drivers with a better understanding of vehicle capabilities, safety and the terrain they will be driving on while in Afghanistan. Walston is the motor transport chief. Cregger and Mejia are motor transport operators. Bennett is an amphibious assault vehicle mechanic. All four are assigned to Motor Transportation Company, Combat Logistics Battalion 3. CLB-3 is the logistics combat element of Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force - Afghanistan, whose mission is to conduct counterinsurgency operations, and train and mentor the Afghan national police in order to provide the government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan with a professional police force able to provide security for its people.
