DescriptionColumnsNOLAPostcardMapSide.jpg | Promotional card for Columns Hotel, New Orleans, 1940s, with map showing transport stations, hospitals, universities, and other sites of city. | ||||
Date |
1940s date QS:P,+1940-00-00T00:00:00Z/8 ; best guess c. 1946. Showing the Ochsner Clinic on Prytania Street, I believe, dates it between 1942 and 1947. I think the reference to Moissant Airport makes it post WWII, as MSY hadn't opened commercially before the US entry into the war, and was used as a military base during the war. Telephone exchange of JAckson + 5 for Uptown was discontinued in 1956. |
