This is a postcard of the Columbus Senators baseball team in 1906. They were twice Champions of the American Association by 1906, three total during their time with the American Association. The Columbus Senators began in 1888. In 1931, the Saint Louis Cardinals took control of the team as part of their developing team and renamed them the Columbus Red Birds. They played their games at Recreation Park in German Village and at Neil Park on Cleveland Avenue. |
