English: West side of the 1200 block of 26th Avenue in Columbus, Nebraska. The block is part of the Columbus Commercial Historic District, which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The red brick building at left is the Columbus Cream Co. Building, at 1262 26th Ave., built ca. 1909. Next right is the Style Shop, built ca. 1927 and remodelled in 1939. Next to that is the Evans Clinic, built ca. 1923. At the right of the picture, with the turquoise "Landmark" awning, is the southeast corner of the Columbus State Bank building at 2601 13th Street, built in Classical Revival style in 1905 and remodelled ca. 1940. All four buildings are contributing properties in the Historic District. |
