Description
日本語:ウィレム・ブラウはオランダの天文学者・地図製作者で、16世紀末から17世紀にかけて天球儀や世界地図を製作した。1602年に製作された天球儀は、1598年にペトルス・プランシウスやヨドクス・ホンディウスが製作した天球儀の模倣であったが、プランシウスが無名で描いたハトに対して Columba Noë と命名し、これがノアの箱舟の伝承に登場するオリーブを咥えたハトであることを明らかに示すなど、彼自身の独創性も見せている。
