79 I I I ! MULBERRY AND GREY For the Bed Room AN EXQUISITELY dainty room for a woman could be worked- out in mulberry and grey, as suggested in the color illustrationson the following page. Cover the light-finished floor as much as possible with one large greylinen rug, on which should be laid several oval braided rag rugs. The center of these could be solid grey, with a wide border of themixed colors shown in the cretonne and a band of black for interest. The paper chosen for the walls is a beautiful soft grey which callsfor ceiling and woodwork a trifle lighter. Should the woodwork beoak, have it stained soft silver grey. Curtains of ruffled swiss should hang at the windows, overhung withstraight panels or gathered curtains of the charming piquant cretonne.A laml)requin could be made of mulberry rep, or of the cretonnebound with black and finished with a black silk tassel.
