'Etiketten van luciferdoosjes'
De verzameling etiketten van luciferdoosjes, waar deze pagina deel van uit maakt, geeft als geheel een beeld van de geschiedenis van Indonesië. De afgebeelde merken zijn Japans, Chinees of Europees. Sommige etiketten zijn in het Maleis of het Nederlands bedrukt, anderen met Chinese of Japanse karakters. Op de etiketten staan afbeeldingen van bevolkingsgroepen, wajangfiguren, moskeeën of woonhuizen. Soms wordt gerefereerd aan historische gebeurtenissen zoals de expedities op het eiland Lombok, eind 19e eeuw.

Etiketten van na de inval van de Japanners in 1942 zijn voorzien van de Japanse vlag, of een andere politiek gekleurde boodschap. Daarna volgt de vorming van de Indonesische Republiek met reclame voor Garuda, voor islamitische politieke partijen en voor een vrij Irian Jaya (het tegenwoordige Papua). Het discours van de Nieuwe Orde van Suharto blijkt uit etiketten met klederdracht en woonhuizen uit de gehele archipel. De laatste etiketten in deze collectie tonen de huidige sigarettenfabrikanten van Indonesië.

Het verloop van de talen, onderwerpen en bedrijfsnamen in deze collectie weerspiegelen de historische ontwikkeling en politieke verhoudingen, met name tussen Indonesië en Nederland. De etiketten vormen een tijdslijn van koloniale overheersing, bezetting en onafhankelijkheid, met propaganda, gebeurtenissen en reclame.


Deze etiketten van luciferdoosjes zijn onderdeel van een verzameling met zo'n 1100 exemplaren, die werd samengesteld door dr. J.U. Postma. Het betreft de papieren etiketten die van het doosje zijn afgehaald en op A4 geplakt.

Koleksi label kotak korek api, yang merupakan bagian dari halaman ini, memberikan gambaran keseluruhan tentang sejarah Indonesia. Merek yang ditampilkan adalah Jepang, Cina, atau Eropa.
