Description
Français : Coll de Sansa (Pyrénées-Orientales, 66), et (au-delà) Puig de l'Esquena d'Ase (= (en catalan) "le pic du dos de l'âne").

Le col se trouve en fait juste sur la commune de Réal, mais la limite entre Réal et Sansa passe par le sommet du Puig de l'Esquena d'Ase (Sansa à droite, Réal à gauche). Le col lui-même repose sur une formation géologique métasédimentaire pré-dévonienne, mais les gros blocs au centre du col sont d'un calcaire dur du Dévonien. Ce dernier repose sous Puig de l'Esquena d'Ase, et affleure au sommet de cette colline (en médaillon). Voir:

English: Coll de Sansa (Pyrénées-Orientales, France), and (beyond) Puig de l'Esquena d'Ase (= (in Catalan) "the peak of the donkey's back"). The col is actually just in the commune of Réal, but the border between Réal and Sansa runs over summit of Puig de l'Esquena d'Ase (Sansa on the right, Réal on the left). The col itself lies on a pre-Devonian metasedimentary geological formation, but the big boulders in the centre of the col are of a hard Devonian limestone. The latter underlies Puig de l'Esquena d'Ase, and appears in outcrops on the summit of that hill (see inset).
