Colchester derivative double lug BOW BROOCH
Description
English: Copper alloy Colchester derivative double lug (Harlow), D-section bow with centre groove type. Missing part of pin. 7-turn spring. Undecorated wings. Central groove on upper bow only, with transverse notching along the groove edges. A single transverse groove at the foot - very close to the end. The catchplate has one large triangular hole and a slight "pin groove". Length 44mm, width 16mm. As Hacheston pub. no 91 but with a smooth profile between bow and pierced lug. Colchester BB type (Crummy 1983 type 93)
