Colchester derivative BOW BROOCH
Description
English: Copper alloy brooch fragment. Lower bow only with catchplate. The bow is D-shaped in section with a pair of transverse grooves marking the foot. The catchplate has two holes defining an angular area in between and a "pin groove". Most likely a large D-section bow Colchester derivative double lug (Harlow) type, as Hacheston (publication no. 105) and Oakley (OKY 005 0069) examples. Surviving length 26mm.
