Colchester derivative - BOW BROOCH
Description
English: Copper-alloy brooch, Colchester derivative rear hook type. Missing spring, pin, damaged hook and catchplate. Angled and terminal incised lines on arms. Round bow section (but with 3 slight facets on back half), tapered, with central narrow rib. Angled grooves on upper bow form a lozenge outline. Length 45 mm, width 26 mm. Similarities to an e.g. from ABK 001 (Ashbocking) but that has moulded arms.
