English: Copper alloy weight for a French "Louis de or". A 22 carat gold coin weighing 4dwt 8gr issued by Louis XIII in 1640.
Obverse: WILLIAM over HAYWARD with a small ewer weight cofirmation stamp above. Reverse: Three fleur-de-lis with 1 PISTOL below.This weight was also compatible with the equivalent Spanish escudo. |
