Description St Nicholas' Chapel Coggeshall. Shot taken from St Stephens' bridge. St Stephens' Chapel is one of the few remaining buildings from the 12th Century Cistercian Abbey, being the chapel on the edge of the original monastic settlement. It fell into agricultural use after the reformation, but returned to religious use on the 19th Century.
