Description
English: Cofeb Howel Harris Memorial. In front of the chapel in Rhydyclafdy stands this reminder of the 18th century Methodist Revival preacher Howell Harris.

The stone reads: Oddiar y garreg hon gerllaw eglwys y plwyf hwn y traddodwyd y bregeth gyntaf yn Lleyn gan Howel Harris ar ei ymweliad cyntaf a'r wlad oddeutu 2 o'r gloch dydd Llun Chwefror 2fed 1741 Ei destun ydoedd Deled dy Deyrnas

From this stone, near this Parish Church Howel Harris preached his first sermon in Lleyn on his first visit to the area, at about 2 o'clock on Monday 2 February 1741 His text was Thy Kingdom Come

The Parish Church was Llanfihangel Bachellaeth - see 507626
