English: Coe Fen Strait, Cambridge This stream runs north-south along Coe Fen, joining Vicar's Brook at its southern end. In 1833 a public subscription raised £150 to drain the fen as it was so marshy. Just before World War I its level was raised by dumping rubbish on it. Cows regularly graze on Coe Fen, despite its central location in the city. |
