Summary
[edit]DescriptionCockle Sheds - geograph.org.uk - 41404.jpg |
English: Cockle Sheds. Cockle dredging is quite a major industry in Old Leigh the tradition goes back well over one hundred years. Old Leigh is very picturesque with arts and crafts shops, a number of pubs as well as seafood vying for the visitors cash. The area between the railway and the sea seems to have escaped the ravages of kiss me quick hats and slot machines that pervade parts of Southend itself. |
