Description

family: Cucurbitaceae Distribution:Common on bushes and hedges, foud in Indian subcontinent, China, Malaysia, Africa and Australia. Photographed at Nellore of India. Often cultivated for fruits. Unripe fruit is used as vegetable. Some wild plants yeild bitter tasting fruits.

Perennial climbing herbs with thick woody roots. Flowers 2-3cm across, axillary solitary, unisexual. This is the male flower.
