Summary
[edit]DescriptionCoca leaf and opioids producing countries worldwide and users of cocaine and opioids by region.png |
English: The figure provides an overview of the main production and consumption of two of the four groups of drugs, to give an indication of from where and to where the drugs are transported. Note that the two groups of drugs cannabis and amphetamines are primarily produced, traded and transported intra-regionally and therefore these two groups are not presented here, which prioritized an inter-regional trafficking of drugs. The yellow and purple circles indicate UNODC's estimate of the main producers of these substances and thus the production and supply side, whereas the blue and green circles indicate UNODC's estimate of consumers of these substances (number and share in 2021) and thus the demand side and where the substances are primarily trafficked to. All these figures come from WDR 2022 and are estimated figures based on country reporting of occupancy etc. |
