Description
Deutsch: Die Coburger Schmätzchen sind Honigplätzchen mit rund fünf Zentimeter Durchmesser, mit Stücken von Zitronat, Orangeat und Ölsamen. Seit 1904 sind sie durch die Konditorei Feyler als eingetragenes Warenzeichen geschützt. Sie werden hauptsächlich zur Weihnachtszeit gegessen. Goldschmätzchenhaben einen Überzug aus Schokolade und zur Veredelung noch ein Stückchen echtes Blattgold.
English: The Coburger Schmätzchen are honey cookies with a diameter of about five centimetres, with pieces of candied lemon peel, candied orange peel and oil seeds. Since 1904 they have been protected by the confectionery Feyler as a registered trademark. They are mainly eaten at Christmas time. Goldschmätzchen have a chocolate coating and a piece of real gold leaf for refinement.
