Description
English: A tall, utilitarian Cobrahead Pendant Pole and a shorter, more decorative Washington Upright Pole -- two of the many street lighting lamppost designs approved for use in Washington, D.C., in the United States. These poles are located on Barney Circle SE, near the John Philip Sousa Bridge. Lampposts used in the city must be approved by the United States Commission of Fine Arts, and their placement is regulated by the District of Columbia Department of Transportation.
