DescriptionCoat of arms of Springfield, Massachusetts.svg |
English: The coat of arms of the City of Springfield, Massachusetts, as rendered by Thomas Chubbock, an engraver who lived in the city in mid-19th century. The coat of arms itself was originally designed as a part of the Springfield City Seal by a die-caster and medallion cutter Richard Paine and adopted by the City in 1871. It is primarily used without a surrounding circle on police caps as well as some plaques and memorials around the municipality. |
