Summary
[edit]DescriptionCoastal Highway Bridge at Night.jpg |
English: Officially the Charles W Cullen Memorial Bridge, this bridge spans the Indian River Inlet for traffic on the Coastal Highway (Route 1) in Delaware. The photo is from the "North Inlet" campground in Delaware Seashore State Park, facing out towards the Atlantic Ocean on the other side of the bridge. At night, the bridge is lit up the main columns as well as some of the supporting cables. While the lights have faded over the years, it appears that there is a project underway to relace the lights for more color, something we'll look forward to in years to come. The uplights on the pillars do provide an interesting glow of light up into the sky.
On this night I could see some of the Milky Way in the sky since there was no moon. However, still too much nearby light (obviously) to get the stars of the galactic core to show though, but was please to at least get this many starts in a photo with the other lights in the picture. |
