The Coast Review 451 Pinal Coast Fire Table With this issue we print our final re-vised table. The difference betweenpaid and incurred losses being verygreat, we print both. Previous to 1901 we did not compileincurred figures. We have the paidloss tables, back to 1871, but omit themthis year. Any subscriber wishing acopy of same will get it by writing tothis office, if he has not last years copy. The full sheet will appear in the PacificYear Book, price 50 cents. The total Coast written and the totalCoast premiums—likewise Californiaand San Francisco—are the largest. Inconsidering these large figures and thesmall loss ratios, two facts should beremembered. Much three year busi-ness was re-written last year, and alarge part of the premium gain wasderived from the high-rated woodenrisks in the congested districts of SanFrancisco. The favorable loss experi-ence of the Coast metropolis, and theincrease in the amount of unearnedpremiums, has resulted in a low andmisleading average loss
