Rand Semke, a Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter pilot, observes an Era Helicopters crew conducting a hoist during a search and rescue exercise near Oliktok Point, Alaska, July 13, 2015. Coast Guard and civil search and rescue crews teamed up to simulate recovery of SAR targets located by unmanned aircraft systems, demonstrating interoperability between manned and unmanned assets in this Coast Guard Research and Development Center exercise.
