[edit]DescriptionCoast Guard at KAF helps units get equipment home 140703-A-JA114-791.jpg |
English: Coast Guard Petty Officer 1st Class Adron Diggs, a native of Chattanooga, Tenn., who serves with the Redeployment Assistance Inspection Detachment team, shows a container tag from the previous month while inspecting containers at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, July 3. The tags are only good for so long before the container must be re-inspected to ensure the container’s serviceability. The tag itself has various identifiers which tell the inspector a number of things, to include whether or not the container is cleared for one time use or if its inspection is due. The duty of the RAID team is to ensure all containers leaving KAF are in good condition to transport mission-essential equipment back safely to the U.S. (U.S. Army photo by. Spc. Ariel J. Solomon) |
